Ke Daowei, attending physician of the Department of Colorectal Surgery of the Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University, pointed out that in addition to routine follow-up every 3 months, patients with colorectal cancer must also undergo imaging examinations such as X-ray, ultrasound, or advanced magnetic resonance contrast (MRI), positron computed tomography (PET), high-speed computed tomography (CT) and other tests, and if cancer cells are found to have recurrence through DR-70 tumor markers, imaging examinations should be shortened to 1 month to help determine whether the tumor lesions can be removed with a knife as soon as possible.
