Paraneoplastic neurologic syndrome (paraneoplastic neurologic syndrome; PNS) is still an unfamiliar term for clinicians, and it is basically an immune response to a tumor, and the result of the immune response is manifested in neurological symptoms. It is unclear whether the complete mechanism or cause of the tumor-associated neurotic syndrome is assumed, and it is speculated that it is related to tumor-associated autoimmune antibodies. Tumor-associated neurotic syndrome can occur in the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, and neuromuscular junction; Neoplastic neurologic antibodies may occur, but not necessarily; One or more tumors may be found.

In other words, tumor-associated neurotic syndrome is also a type of autoimmune disease, which is currently classified according to the location of antigens: 1. PNS caused by intracellular antigens; 2. PNS caused by antigens on the cell surface or synapse. The former is considered to be typical PNS, and antibodies are also considered well characterised. These typical PNS or well-characterized antibodies are thought to be closely associated with the tumor. The latter is represented by antigens that are either NMDA receptor (anti-N-methyl-D-aspartate) or AMPA receptor (alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionic acid). Up to now, there are not many diseases caused by antibodies directly targeting neuromuscular, neuromuscular, or most autoimmune encephalitis. The presence of neoplastic neuroantibodies does not necessarily imply the presence of a tumor.

The incidence of tumor-associated neurotic syndrome may be even higher than previously predicted, which may be related to the fact that the PNS is beginning to gain traction, more research, and more antibody evidence is being revealed. Of course, the development of clinical testing technology may also play a role in assisting.

With the efforts of the World Conference of Neurology Experts, new diagnostic criteria have been proposed, various oncological neurological antibodies have been confirmed, and a new generation of oncologic neurological antibody detection technology will be used to diagnose the associated neurological syndrome PNS and the relationship with the tumor will be more clearly determined.
