Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis, which was observed in 2005 and named in 2007, affects mostly children and young women, but also occurs in men. The disease progresses rapidly, and the clinical symptoms are easily confused with other diseases, and the earlier the treatment can lead to the better the prognosis of the patient, so the earlier the neurological problem is detected, and the correct diagnosis and treatment is relatively important. Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis is a challenge for all healthcare professionals due to the difficulty of discerning the clinical presentation of patients, the lack of clinically proven treatments, and the variable response to treatment.
